Getting help

What to gather before asking, so the answer comes back faster.

If the guides in this section have not resolved it, here is how to get it looked at quickly.

Before you ask

Work through Common issues first. Wrong workspace, insufficient role, expired connection and genuinely-no-data account for most reports, and each is faster to check than to describe.

What to include

The more of this you provide, the less back-and-forth:

The workspace. Its name, and whether it is personal or team.

Your role. Owner, admin or member — it determines what you are allowed to do, and explains a surprising number of reports.

The exact message. Quote it verbatim rather than paraphrasing. BlueKona's messages are specific, and the precise wording usually identifies the cause on its own.

Where it happened. The page URL, or the path through the sidebar.

When it happened. A rough timestamp, with your timezone.

The platform. Which connected account was involved, if any.

What you expected. Sometimes the behaviour is correct and the expectation is the thing worth discussing — platform reporting lag and empty-but-valid audit sections both look like bugs.

For audit problems

Also include:

  • The platform and the audit period shown on the report.
  • Whether it failed, was refused before starting, or completed but looks wrong. These are different problems.
  • Whether auto-run is on for that platform.

An export of the report — PDF report or Markdown report — is the most complete thing you can attach.

For connection problems

Also include:

  • Which platform, and what the card shows: Connected or Not connected.
  • What the account looks like on the platform's side — for Instagram, whether it is a Business or Creator account and which Page it is linked to.
  • Whether it previously worked, and roughly when it stopped.

For publishing problems

Also include:

  • The destination, and whether it is one of the copy-only channels listed in Publishing failures.
  • Whether the content ever reached the platform — check the destination before reporting, since a retry after an ambiguous failure can publish twice.

Things worth ruling out yourself

  • Reconnect the platform. Fixes most stale-data and permission problems.
  • Check you are in the right workspace. The most common cause of "my data is gone".
  • Try another browser or a private window. Rules out extensions and cached sessions.
  • Wait out the reporting lag. Up to 48 hours on YouTube, two to three days on Search Console.
