Site audits

Audit your website's traffic, search performance and content gaps.

A Site Audit analyses your website rather than a social account, using Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 together.

What you need

  • A Google connection with both a Search Console property and a GA4 property selected.
  • Your site URL set under Settings → Website Settings.
  • Traffic in the last 14 days.

Setup is covered in Connecting Google.

Running one

Go to Growth → Social Audit → Site Audit, or pick the Site Audit card in the wizard. The confirmation screen shows a Website panel with your site URL and "Search Console + Analytics".

Same rules as every other audit: a 14-day window, one run per 14 days.

What the report contains

Site audits replace the social sections with four of their own.

Traffic overview (GA4)

Sessions, Users, Bounce rate and Avg. session duration for the window.

Search performance (Search Console)

Impressions, Clicks, CTR and Avg. position.

Top pages and top keywords

Your best-performing pages by traffic, and the queries bringing people in — with impressions, clicks, CTR and average position per query.

Content gap opportunities

The most actionable section. It surfaces queries that rank but rarely get clicked — high impressions with a click-through rate under 2%.

These are pages already visible in search that are failing to earn the click, usually because the title tag or meta description is not compelling. Fixing those is cheaper than ranking something new.

Reading the numbers honestly

Search Console lags by two to three days. The most recent days in any 14-day window will always look thinner than reality. This affects every report equally, so period-to-period comparisons stay valid.

GA4 and Search Console will not agree. They measure different things — GA4 counts sessions on your site, Search Console counts appearances and clicks in Google results. A gap between them is normal, not an error.

Average position is an average. Ranking third for a rare query and fiftieth for a common one averages to something that describes neither.

Troubleshooting

"No Search Console or Analytics data is available for the last 14 days." The connection works but the site recorded no traffic in the window.

"Connect your website (Search Console + Analytics) in Website Settings first." No Google connection yet.

"Select a Search Console property and a GA4 property in Website Settings first." Connected, but one or both properties are unselected.
