Shopify is a publishing destination, not an analytics source. Connecting it lets the blog pipeline publish finished articles straight to a blog on your store.
What you need
- A Shopify store, and your
.myshopify.comdomain. - Permission to install apps on that store.
- At least one blog created in Shopify. BlueKona publishes into an existing blog; it does not create one.
Connect it
Open Connections
Go to Settings → Connections and press Connect on the Shopify card.
Enter your store domain
Unlike the other platforms, Shopify asks for your store first. Type your domain — for example
your-store.myshopify.com— and press Continue.You can paste the full URL; it will be normalised. If the domain is not valid you will see "Enter a valid .myshopify.com store domain."
Approve on Shopify
Shopify shows what the app can access. Approve it.
Pick the blog
Choose which blog on the store should receive published articles. You are returned with "Shopify store connected."

What it unlocks
- Blog publishing — articles from the pipeline publish directly to the chosen blog.
Troubleshooting
"No blogs found on this Shopify store. Create one in Shopify admin first." Shopify stores do not always start with a blog. Create one in your Shopify admin under Online Store → Blog posts, then connect again.
"Enter a valid .myshopify.com store domain." Use the permanent .myshopify.com domain rather than a custom domain — you can find it in your Shopify admin.
