If you have never run one, start with Run your first audit. This page covers the mechanics in full.
Starting from the wizard
Growth → Social Audit → New Audit shows a card per audit type. Cards for platforms you have not connected are disabled and marked Not connected.
Connected cards show the account being audited. The Cross Platform card only counts as available with at least two connected social accounts; Site Audit needs a Google connection with both a Search Console and a GA4 property selected.
Picking a card takes you to a confirmation screen showing the Account and the Audit period. For YouTube there is also an Audit depth choice — see Deep audits. Otherwise there is nothing to configure — press Run Audit.
Starting from a platform page
Each platform's audit page has a New Audit button that skips the wizard. If you have never audited that platform, the page instead shows No audit yet and a Run First Audit button.
The button is disabled while you are rate limited, and while an audit is already running.
While it runs
The Thinking stream panel reports progress: Connecting…, then Fetching analytics data…, then AI is analyzing your account…, then Analysis complete.
You can leave the page. The audit completes server-side and will be waiting in History.
History
The History button in the header opens a list of your last 20 runs for that platform. Each row shows the date, the period covered, the score, and a status of Completed, Processing, Queued or Failed.
Click a completed row to load that saved report; click one still running to reattach to its live stream.
Exporting
The Export button on a finished report offers:
- PDF report
- Word document
- Markdown report
- Findings CSV — the issues and suggestions as rows
- Post metrics CSV — per-post data, when the audit has posts (so not on Site Audits)
If an export fails you will see "Export failed — try another format."
Scheduling
The Auto-run every 14 days toggle sits in the sidebar of each platform's audit page. When it is on, the card shows the date of the next scheduled run.
With auto-run enabled, opening that platform's audit page after the due date starts the audit immediately — you land straight on the streaming panel.
Re-running
A finished report has a Re-run audit button, subject to the same 14-day limit. Re-running does not delete the previous report; both stay in History.
There is also Clear cache, which discards stored analytics for the account so the next run fetches everything fresh. Use it if you suspect the data behind a report is stale.
When a run will not start
"We can't run a reliable audit because this account has no posts in the last 14 days." Publish something first.
"You can only run one audit per 14-day period. Please wait before running again." Check the platform page for the unlock date.
"Connect at least two social accounts before running a cross-platform audit" Cross-platform needs two or more connected accounts.
"Forbidden" You are a member; only owners and admins can start audits.
"Audit did not start. Check your connection and try again." A network problem on your side. Nothing was consumed — try again.
